They are blessed with two children; Lexi who is 13 years old (and a current National Miss Military Star Ambassador) and Cameron who is 9 (who tries to be the best pageant brother and son he can be!). Frequently Asked Questions

1. WHAT is the commitment?

All state titleholders are expected to proudly represent their state at the National Miss Military Star Pageant. By accepting a state crown, each titleholder makes a formal commitment to attend and compete at the national level. This commitment ensures that every state is represented with dignity, pride, and consistency, while upholding the mission and values of the Miss Military Star Organization.

Participation at nationals is not only an honor but also a responsibility. State winners serve as representatives for their state, their communities, and the organization as a whole. Titleholders agree to prepare diligently, adhere to national pageant requirements, and maintain the highest standards of character, professionalism, and integrity throughout their reign.

Failure to fulfill this commitment may result in forfeiture of the state title and the opportunity being extended to the next eligible delegate.

2. WHAT is the cost?

Competing in the Miss Military Star Pageant is an investment in personal growth, leadership, and service. Each delegate’s registration covers official pageant activities, delegate gifts, competition participation, and opportunities for community service and national recognition.

Optional competitions, sponsorship packages, and additional events are available to enhance your experience. Exact costs vary depending on your level of participation and chosen optionals. Most delegates cover their entry and participation through sponsorships, community support, and fundraising efforts.

We provide guidance and resources to help every delegate secure the backing they need to succeed. For full details, please request our delegate handbook.

3. if i can't make the pageant, can i take an appointed title?

Yes. Not every state has a live competition, but every state deserves a representative! In addition to our state competitions, the Miss Military Star Organization offers appointed titles. Appointed titles provide a unique path to the crown. Instead of competing in a state-level event, delegates apply for their title and are selected by the organization.

This process ensures that every state has representation at nationals while allowing more individuals to join our sisterhood and make an impact in their communities. Appointed titleholders carry the same responsibilities, honors, and opportunities as their fellow state queens and will advance to compete at nationals.

4. do i have to be in the military?

No.  The Miss Military Star Pageant is open to all girls and women. You do not have to be in the military or from a military family to compete. Miss Military Star is about celebrating personal growth, leadership, and community service while shining a spotlight on our heroes.

While our  mission is to serve and support the men and women of the Armed Forces, delegates do not need military experience to compete. All are welcome to join our sisterhood and represent their state at the national pageant.
