Amanda Liggett is 34 years old from Upstate New York. She has proudly been part of the Miss Military Star family since 2019, being crowned the inaugural Ms. New York, followed by the inaugural NY Ultimate Queen. Once nationals was created she came back with an appointed title as Ms. Upstate New York, where she placed first runner up to nationals in 2024. This last year she once again held the Ms. New York title and finally captured the National Ms. Military Star title.

Her personal platform is called Rhinestones for Rescues, focusing on animal rescue of all types; shelters, rehabilitation centers, conservation centers, marine and wildlife, and rescues that partner with military and veterans, to help all types of animals. This platform was inspired by her two rescue dogs, Pongo and Maggie. She recently created an ABC kids coloring book called R is for Rescue to educate others.

Amanda is a teacher and in her spare time is the Non Profit Coordinator for Capital Region Toys for Tots; the largest chapter in the entire world. She has a two year old daughter and was married on the Fourth of July in 2020.
